These are two adjacent BTS stations on the Sukhumvit line and the district is usually treated as one. Chit Lom is the western of the two, at Central Chidlom, and Phloen Chit is one stop east.
Langsuan is the road worth knowing about. It runs south off Ploenchit towards Lumphini Park and holds a lot of the residential and serviced apartment stock in this district, away from the mall frontage.

The specific thing that brings people to book in this district is walking. The connected mall route from Siam through Chidlom to Ploenchit is a couple of kilometres of hard floor, and a full day of it leaves calves, lower back and shoulders tired in a very particular way.
Traditional Thai massage suits that better than the oil treatments do, because the assisted stretching addresses tight hamstrings and hip flexors directly rather than working the surface of the muscle. If you have been carrying shopping bags on one side all afternoon, mention which side when the therapist arrives.

The therapist brings a portable table or mat, fresh linen and oils where they are used. You need a clear floor space roughly the size of a single bed, which is not usually a constraint in a five star room.
For Thai massage you stay in loose clothing. For oil treatments you undress to your underwear and remain covered by a towel except for the area being worked on. The therapist steps out of the room while you get ready.
